Recipe #22 Strawberry Shortcake Recipe

I bought strawberries the other day when I went shopping and  have no clue why. Well I wanted to use them up before they went bad and instead of running back out to the store I looked up an easy recipe for the shortcake and I had a yummy dessert.

INGREDIENTS:

• 1 quart of strawberries
• 1/2 cup sugar
• --Cake Batter--
• 1 1/4 cup flour
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 1/3 cup butter
• 2/3 cup milk
• 2 eggs
• 2 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 pint heavy whipping cream

DIRECTIONS:

1. Mix together flour, sugar, butter, milk, eggs, baking powder, and salt.
2. Pour into a greased 9 inch square pan and bake at 350 for 20- 25 minutes.
