Recipe #25 White Garlic Sauce for Pizza

Sometimes we get tired of the same boring things, So over the weekend I went to Panini's and ordered a white garlic pizza for the first time with my girlfriends and it was so yummy! Well my mission was to find a recipe, and I found a good and easy one!!

INGREDIENTS:

2 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
1 cup whole milk (I used 2% and it worked just fine)
¼ tablespoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
½ teaspoon garlic
½ cup parmesan cheese, shredded

DIRECTIONS:

1. In a medium saucepan over low heat, heat butter and stir in flour to form a roux (gravy).
2. Allow flour to brown slightly, but do not burn.
3. Once the roux has been created, whisk milk in slowly and gradually, avoiding lumps.
4. Cook the sauce thus formed until desired thickness is reached, and then stir in cheese and spices slowly.
5. Allow cheese to melt and mixture to become smooth and creamy.
6. Allow to cool slightly, then top pizza.

BON APPETIT!!
