Recipe #40 Peanut butter and Jelly bars

This is a dessert that kids will love! My boyfriend bought me a cook book called Bafefoot Contessa at home. I was looking through it and saw this recipe and it looked sooo yummy! I made it last night and it taste just like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.






INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 sticks butter, soften
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups raspberry jam
  • 2/3 cups salted peanuts, chopped

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350. Grease a 13x9 pan.
  2. In a bowl mix together butter and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla, and peanut butter.
  3. Stir in flour, salt, and baking powder.
  4. Spread 2/3 of the mixture onto the bottom of the pan. Add the jelly and spread evenly. Drop the reminaing mixture on top of the jelly.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes.
