Recipe #57 Donut Muffins

I was watching The Best Thing I Ever Ate which is on Food Network. Its a show where the top chefs in the industry talk about their favorite restaurants and their favorite things to order from there. I forget her name but she said "donut muffins." I guess they are a little healthier then actual fried donuts so I looked up recipes online. I had everything for it in my kitchen so I made it. They are sooooo yummy!



INGEDIENTS:

  • 13; cup butter , softened

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder

  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg

  • 1 egg

  • ½ cup milk

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • 1 ½ cups flour

  •  4 tablespoons of melted butter

  • cinnamon sugar




  • DIRECTIONS:


    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. In a mixing bowl, cream the margarine and sugar.
    3. Beat in the egg.
    4. Add the dry ingredients and then the milk.
    5. In a greased 12-muffin pan, fill each cup 2/3 full with batter.
    6. Bake 20-25 minutes until done.
    7. When done, but not completely cooled, bursh on melted butter roll each muffin in the cinnamon sugar.
