Recipe #24 Cabbage and Noodles

My one co worker made this about a month ago love it and then I started to crave it! I found this recipe on allrecipes.com and made my own little changes to it!














INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 package (12oz) egg noodles
  • 1 small head cabbage
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 package of sausage (I used angus beef sausage skinlesss), sliced
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic
  • vegateble oil
DIRECTIONS:
  1. Bring water to a boil in a pot. Add the noodles and cook 10 to 12. Drain and pour back into the pot.
  2. Cut up cabbage and chop the onion and then add it to the cooked noodles. Turn the stove on to a low or simmer.
  3. Add the butter, salt, pepper, and garlic. Melt the butter.
  4. In a skillet add the vegetable oil and place the pieces of sausage in. Cook until the sausage is browned. Pour into the pot with the noodles and cabbage. DO NOT DRAIN THE OIL.
  5. Let in simmer for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring a little bit.
