Recipe #68 Easy Salsa

I had a craving for some salsa but i'm on this health kick because I am going to Georgia for a week and I want to have a great bikini body! So I was reading an article that talked about food that was good for you but alot better for you if you make it from scratch. This is one of them. This recipe has only 30 calories for every 2 tablespoons, not bad if you eat in portion!




INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 CANS (14.5 OZ EACH) DICED TOMATOES
  • 1 CAN (4 OZ) GREEN CHILES
  • 1/4 CUP GREEN ONION, CHOPPED
  • 1/4 CUP FRESH PARSLEY
  • 2 TABLESPPONS OF LEMON JUICE
  • 1/8 TEASPOON PEPPER
  • 1 GARLIC CLOVE, MINCED
  • 1/4 TEASPOON SALT 

DIRECTIONS:

  1. DRAIN TOMATOES, RESERVING ONLY 1/4 CUP OF THE JUICE. COMBINE EVERYTHING TOGETHER INCLUDING THE 1/4 CUP OF JUICE AND CHILL FOR 4 HOURS COVERED. SERVE WITH WHOLE GRAIN TORTILLA CHIPS.
